The principal reason for the decline in SYA's SP is the decline in the SC6 price from >US$8000/dmt CFR to US$850/dmt CFR currently. Do you blame the SYA BOD for this?
If the SC6 price stayed at > US$8000/dmt CFR you would be singing their praises today.
Their job now is to preserve the value of SYA in a low SC6 price environment. It is a particularly difficult strategy to achieve and their current decisions reflect their struggle to do so. The only right strategy is to survive and ultimately prosper.
Only time will tell if they are able to navigate SYA through these stormy seas.
