I'm not sure why this should raise alarm bells. The announcement is clear about the points you've raised above. Earth AI trying to move quickly and economically to physically test their hypotheses with drilling. They are also clear that they are still assessing whether more of the drill core will be sent for assay. Not bad for a first drill test I would say.
Spending money as and when it's needed and will provide value is also appropriate for low-cost exploration. I don't see anyone firing up a mine just yet - clearly just a little bit more work to be done which is outlined in the announcement.
What's not to like?
