I've watched it twice now. And as a WA mining engineer, it made me puke. I just showed al my mining mates, and it also made them puke. It's utter garbage, let me tell you. GARBAGE!

No, he does not explain why he didn't complete 'substantial commencement'. Not at all. He spat out something quick & greasy about 'uranium at surface' blah blah blah. What garbage.

Not a single mining engineer, or mining executive who has ever developed a new pit or setup a new minesite under a new state approval believes any of that garbage. This guy is unreal, has no scruples.



'Clearing' a pit is NOT 'Mining'. Vegetation, shrubs, trees etc & their topsoil must be cleared & stockpiled in WA under law, however thin the topsoil layer is. Surface or outcropping mineralisation is stockpiled separately. The point is ground must be cleared & flatttened for large production drills, toyotas & crews to acces the future blast patterns. Doesn't mean you are mining the pit. It's pit 'Clearing' 101.

None of it is considered 'mining' activity by the mines department. It's a normal part of 'substantial commencement'. And ANY issue can be amicably resolved with the mines department, during any phase of a mining project in WA. Believe me, the mines regulator wants you to succeed. It's all up to the mining CEO.

Vimy constructed a test pit, remember?? They dug up bulk uranium tonnes and stockpiled it. Those stockpiles are still there at Mulga. And they were still there during their 'substantial commencement' works. The whole time.




For 2 yrs he has been silent on this. And now, he comes up with this garbage about mineralisation at surface stopping him form developing a pit?? Huh!? Wtf??
