Was going to be a geo but my year 10 work experience mentor at BHP back in 1982 talked me out of it. That was the depths of the resources recession and he said whilst it was a great career, they were letting guys with 20+ years experience go, and that I would get a degree and drive taxi's ( nothing wrong with driving taxi's ) for 10+ years before getting a chance of a job.
Decided on a different kind of drilling.
Mainly when I can't find the 2nd MBC.
