Ann: HMW Pond 1 Evaporation Process Commenced, page-17

Excuse my ignorance, but I am still a bit confused regarding the pond numbers. Thanks to mondy for his diagram in a recent reply to me showing pond 1.1 - 1.9 as part of the “pond 1” overall process.

Now, I’m assuming that phase 1 being 5.6kt output will utilise all 9 of those ponds? If that is the case, how and where are they going to put the required ponds that are required for the additional phases up to the nameplate 60kt in phase 4???? Because looking at that drone footage, there does not appear to be the room on the flats.

Or, is it a matter of skimming off enough to get the 5.6kt as per their current permit, but in effect, all 9 ponds will be required for the phase 4 operation??
