The purple forecast is for vanadium.

Note that was expectations as of May 2021 (https://www.iea.org/data-and-statis...ttery-storage-additions-by-scenario-2020-2040 ) but it’s still a pretty picture for a quiet Tuesday morning.
And here’s a more recent forecast across minerals in general from that esteemed battery minerals-specialist Benchmark Minerals Intelligence :
- It predicted more critical minerals deals were on the cards as of January 17, 2024 (
possibly with an eye to the merger between AVL and TMT that became a done deal as -far as regular trading was concerned - on February 5, 2024 ).
What else did it anticipate?
- investors will like companies with low supply chain risks (eg they don’t want to be dependant on Chinese critical minerals)
- BMI foresees significant investment in battery minerals.. like lithium. (As Queensland last week demonstrated with a five year vanadium $570m support plan? )
- Access to capital will become more dependent on
environment , social and governance (ESG) credentials. “
Investors now wish to align with companies with strong green metal portfolios and companies who have taken steps to reduce their emissions.”
