due to the nature of lithium charge and discharge cycles if you want to pro-long your battery you don't let it run empty to zero and you dont charge it to 100%, you charge as often as you can.
my iPhone I plug in when I can and pull out when it reach 80-90% and I let it run down to 5-10% and I charge it up, 7 years so far phone battery still perfect
