Yes, ESG is slowly improving in China with the demands of the rising middle class. Who knows, maybe it will become a significant factor. Another big factor is increasing EV exports. The likes of BYD want to export heavily into places like the EU, so completely neglecting ESG concerns in their supply chain isn't a good approach especially since the EU is currently searching for any excuse to protect their domestic auto industry from the Chinese.
