Do you understand how the poor, the sick, the aged receive government funding? It's called taxes. Take away GST and the tax intake will be much much less and these poor people wont be able to afford food, let alone it being 10 times more expensive. Richer people pay more tax, its called personal tax. There is no fair system. Poor people are poor. That is unfair. Maybe a communist regime would work for you. We'll all get our food stamps and we can be repressed to prevent people from making better of themselves.

As I said, the solution is to ensure those that are disadvantaged receive appropriate government funding to counteract disadvantages created by things such as GST, which are designed to prevent businesses unfairly rorting the system. You are advocating removing something which produces revenue that would have a negative effect on those people you are trying to argue are being disadvantaged because of lower tx revenue.
