SA coal power was shut down because the operator wanted to shut it down. Too old. Too expensive to run.
Now SA has the opportunity to benefit from the new connection because it will be able to be a proper exporter for the first time.
All that lovely green electricity being sold into the east coast . They will probably be able to sell as much as they can produce for years and years .
