Neurosurgeons and Orthopedic surgeons are very understandably conservative, with a healthy fear of litigation, far more inclined to stick with traditional technologies such as titanium and non-biodegradable plastics. Osteopore is going to have to engage and encourage professionals to become advocates and turn more prominent adopters of new technlogies into key opinion leaders in the industry and encourage them to sell the product to their peers. I've a partner who is a CEO of a (smaller) hospital and her surgeons don't even listen to her!
OSX needs to be pumping the published peer reviewed data/arguments on its products a bit better in this endeavour admittedly. Needs to up its game (as does LMT Surgical, its local distributor).
