I know people who have reduced their GP visits coz they cant find a bulk billing doctor.. they now go online or to a pharmacy to get their sick certs.
I also know people who are now making use of "medical tourism" a lot more than they were couple of years ago coz they dont have enough disposable income and not on a premium private insurance.
Mining downturn once killed a booming housing market in Perth and pushed a lot of "highly skilled miners" into odd jobs. I just cant close my eyes to what is going on.
