Yeah this is supergene enrichment so this huge uniform thick blanket of clay hosted TREO is telling you how big and fertile this system was before the weathering complexes, meteoric waters and original alteration ( fenites) and mineral characteristics developed it into the rich REO clay body of today.
For sure it’s a Alk/Carb intrusion into basement. I had RareX and Victory ( both Alk/carb intrusions) but for certain ore body reasons moved on. Here there’s good potential.
Those weathering factors and other factors I mentioned will all have a role in how much the RE ions are bound in the outer ,or inner clay particle shell complexes. Lightly bound ( outer) cheap, tightly bound ( inner) more costly. Or in between.
They may look at -Ce or Y spikes but it’s very thick ,fertile and widespread so no need to worry about any relic primary or secondary mineral forms.
Noticed they said they’re using portable XRF to scan the holes drilled so they’ll already have good idea of what they got.
