With the Aussie dollar, against the USA dollar, possibly being over parity by the time of the next record date, it doesn't bode well for dividends. We may actually see a reduction from the 56.3cents(Australian.) paid out from the last half year.
I wonder if this is what is holding the share price back over the past week ? Volumes have been very low over the last couple of days.
Hopefully the average Barrel of Oil equivalent (BoE) price will pick up over the next quarter to something like US$85.
Tapis crude has been sitting over US$80/barrel for the past few weeks. Hope that is the market where Woodside sells their oil.
