I recharge my garden equipment (Lithium Batteries) outside in the shade as I don't trust charging them inside. Every Lithium battery has a safety feature that cuts power when charging if there's a problem - BUT - electronics can fail. Especially ones made cheaply in China. It's becoming more common now to hear about Lithium battery fires. I think there was one on the news last night come to think of it.
