If a company makes a cr just to stay afloat without it contributing to any real progress and without any near term news flow to keep cr participants interested, then maybe 9 times out of 10, I would think it likely that the sp would drift back to the cr price. This looks nothing like that scenario.

All those upcoming and important news events potentially over a very short time frame following the cr is why nobody can assume the sp will drift back to the cr price.
All cr participants have been made aware of expected upcoming news as part of the info accompanying the cr offer and the market will no doubt be reminded and updated on the same and more (the details on the reason for the suspension) before trading resumes. When the market expects fairly imminent further important news flow, there will be buying potentially offsetting any cr selling. No one knows if the buying will more than offset the selling and the sp rises over the next few weeks ahead of further news, or vice versa.
