Dude, the company’s worth $700m, they don’t care a jot whether retail punters put in an extra $5m or $10m.
And, have a look at the trading volumes on the day you’re talking about. Materially below average. If you’re trying to pump up a share price you throw volume at the screen. That didn’t happen, ergo, it went up simply because of natural market forces, not because of some huge conspiracy to get retail to send them extra money for shares at what was already a major discount.
