No coincidence, the reason being that a significant number of large financial institutions have bet big against the EV / Battery Storage transition. Pilbara being a proxy for lithium, the cathode side of the equation. Syrah being a proxy for graphite, the anode side of the equation.
If you believe the transition is inevitable, and the momentum is unstoppable, you probably also believe that there are significant short positions which might be about to get unwound in a not so orderly fashion
