Good grief.
There were many a goldmine in Aust back when gold was US$300 working satellite pits, 20 to 30 kms from processing plants, I would suggest that there are many doing the same now. Ok might be better grades, who knows, but obviously still profitable enough.
The obsession with this is crazy.
