Skipperx,
Well done. I think your post is orders of magnitude better than those we get from the sleep fairy zzzzzzz.. ..
I think you may be on to something. Though not too dissimilar is the inventors syndrome. The inventor simply can not let go of his baby and expect to hang on from conception, development, proving, financing, manufacturing, sales etc.. Nobody has all the expertise in this. A similar bit of CDU there, right?
So without further judgment because I don't know who anyone else on the management team is other the WM. I think a vital, vital factor I'll be looking for at the AGM is passing the managerial smell test, "his own man", "unconventional", "Salt of the earth", "gruffly independent" won't be paid for through my share holdings. It is Ok to kick stones with the boys but that was the old CDU before it lost 60% value. (I have a sneaking suspicion I am answering my own question). But some people manage to make the necessary adjustments as companies transition, though very rare. (eg Murdoch).
Of all the possible issues,- drilling progress, buybacks, etc.. I think future management is the most telling issue emerging from the ruck at the moment.
