No, the fuel usage you gave matches the specifications of a Panamax going at full speed - which was the speed you used for your shipping time projections.

“Can only ship 20 Tonne at the moment”? Geez whatever you’re smoking share - it’s got to be the good stuff?

“Two weeks for trucks to deliver a load”? Wow, either something seriously wrong with a range of your calculations or you are considering use of a dray and bullock team!

Also curious why you chose the Panamax size … wouldn’t a Handysize or Handymax be more relevant to the discussion?

For those interested more in the economics of reduced shipping speed including consideration of auxiliary systems fuel use to provide electrics, assumed profit margin for shipping companies and more, here’s a nice 16 page research article on the topic from 2019 … https://www.transportenvironment.or...ferent-types-of-ships-carrying-bulk-cargo.pdf

But maybe now we should point out something pretty basic here for investment in LTR … first though, in case we get some more great fodder for daily humour along the way … please tell us whose responsibility it is to undertake the shipping of product bought from LTR, is it LTR’s responsibility and cost or the offtake customer’s responsibility and cost? Do look carefully through the announcements first.

Oh and you haven’t addressed the obvious part I gave earlier either … why do you assume it will be raw spod will be the thing shipped across to the good ‘ol US of A?
