Sorry @Tarvold but I disagree with this take. Without StreetTalk we wouldn't know there was a bid for the company. We wouldn't know that even more than that there had been three interested parties. We wouldn't know that Rouse has been given exclusive dd. And we wouldn't know that this was for a period of six weeks.
As I saw on twitter someone said thank you to the AFR for doing the IR role for QIP.
Ultimately the board of QIP have been loathe to provide shareholders with any information at all. Why? Maybe because they want to keep their board seats and not sell the business even though this may be the wish of shareholders.
Owners of the business deserve to know if an offer for the company has been made.
