"You people need help" – this is their help. People use HotCopper for all kinds of reasons, including (apparently) therapy. As long as they keep within the terms of use, they're free to do so. Luckily the ridiculously, blindly, uselessly over-optimistic or over-pessimistic or just plain unpleasant posters are rarely also sources of useful information. So you should ignore the posters who are using HotCopper in ways that interfere with the way you want to use it without feeling like you're blinding yourself to valuable information.
But I warn you... once you finish with the ignore button, it'll be just you and me here.
