I think there is a disconnect between blue sky / sunshine & lollipops valuations that some posters espouse & the commercial reality of what potential suitors & partners WILL offer. The Board are scientists first & foremost who will take what they see as the best route to commercialisation (their holy grail ) & which is most likely at odds with what SH feel is value.
