Since posting the above 9 months ago, Barton have squandered an astonishing $9 million of shareholder funds, and the only thing the company has come up with is a dud increase in resources at 0.7 g/t which is so low, and so far below surface that no other company would waste the money either drilling it further, or paying someone to put out a resource on it.
To put this amount of money into perspective, the whole Tunkillia project was last sold for only about $300k cos that’s all it’s worth, with all its problems of massive overburden, uneconomic grades and poor continuity. It’s never been economic in 30 years, and since Barton took it over, the grade of the resource has almost HALVED making it less and less economic. Neverland.
We could have bought a fantastic project with legs for $9 million, and all we have for our $9m is a report that is worth zit to anyone who knows anything about exploration or mining. No money left, and still need to find a real project.
