Which reminds me one of my husband's early bosses in Sydney was called 'Doug' and he and his wife invited us one fine day to take a day trip with them to the Blue Mountains - we had a lovely time 'in the bush' had taken a picnic and sat around on large rugs - I then sent him a thank-you card and began with ''Dear Dough" I was so embarrassed when I realised my mistake . . . have never forgotten it. re soup; I also cook and then shave 2 cobs of corn into the soup as well.
