I think that western governments would also like to see cheaper EVs. Take note of low lithium prices also. Make sense that China will keep all component costs to a minimum. I think that REs will benefit when batteries go solid state. Quicker charging and less of a fire hazard. Governments will then start legislating in favour of EVs. That's when the petro chemical get interested with installing EV "pumps". Solid state batteries are key.
