Hi Tui, I wouldn't still be holding VPE if it weren't for what I saw as the future potential :) However I do believe that whilst there is still a speculative element to VPE (currently bigger than the non speculative element) that it will continue to behave like a speccie...

That is it will see ups and downs in the share price. often greatly overshooting (in either direction) what could be considered reasonable (but then the question arises how do you realisitically value a speccie and hence determine what is reasonable). I'm hoping that this announcement of a maiden profit may lift the lower limit of the sp falls and bring some stability to the shareprice. However in my oppinion the best way to make money off a stock like vpe is to swing trade it. This is of course just my oppinion, and it involves risks just like any other strategy. I've kept a core holding and have sold some when it was high and rebought when low, though not as well as I could have (hindsight is a wonderful thing).

Time will tell once again, but I still maintain that with any speccie until the company comes up with the goods and starts turning the potential into cold hard cash they are eventually going to turn cold and the sp will dwindle...

If it takes too long people get sick of waiting and move on (and the next lot of hopefulls come along, there will be some positive announcements and the cycle starts again) This is just my interpretation but is what I believe causes the ups and downs that make it profitable to swing trade certain shares.

You have been holidng for long enough to have seen this yourself ;)

Having said all that the sp is holding fairly well so far, but if you subscribe to the "all gaps must be filled" hypothesis then we will see a retrace to the 29.5c mark at some point in the future.
