I do not believe Goldman Sachs will be correct this time, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I've spoken with some friends who've worked for GS over the years, and they are somewhat ambivalent about these predictions. Goldman feel compelled to release predictions though, for reasons of their own.

Eventually, I believe that Chinese producers of lithium from Lepidolite for those low quality batteries are going to get some backlash, especially if more and more of them each year continue to overheat and catch fire. Automotive companies are eventually going to be forced to pay for higher quality batteries.

Either way, it does look like perhaps the recent lithium Short covering has effectively ended.
