    Energy Minister Chris Bowen has long mocked the Opposition's faith inSmall Modular Reactors, saying the emerging nuclear technology is a"mirage".

    But Canada is doubling down on nuclear, with plans to switch on itsfirst SMR in 2028, with many more to follow in the years ahead.

    So why is Canada so optimistic about a nuclear future?
