I tend to disagree, the Japanese will be forward looking and realize that the nickel price is going to have it's ups and downs, but this is profitable in both bull and bear markets. What matters for them would be getting this online to secure stable western supply that CAN compete with indo nickel.

As for raising the capex, the number of ways of financing the keiretsu have available to them is pretty crazy. They are similar to the "chaebol" if you are familiar with them. Different mindset of doing business (in a good way) than here in the west, which is infatuated with short term thinking.
