I think dear wotsup would have to un-know the meaning of these verses to begin the journey of understanding the Trinity. As said before, the Trinity was the consensus of a vote. Jesus became God via a vote, not by anything written into the Bible. A bit of fudging along the way., a word here a word there and the incorruptible Bible has turned Jesus into God.
It was a big deal calling Jesus, God because this led to the boot-heel of imperial Christianity stamping out indigenous religions with utter contempt across the globe. After all their teacher was God Himself and the rest were just Prophets and wise men.
