The trouble is they have already given Ukraine everything they realistically can and now the spare ammo cupboard is as empty as Biden's neural cortex.
There is a work around!
Biden can send US forces into Ukraine but he must give congress notice within two days of doing so; the War Powers Resolution, passed in 1973, requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and prohibits armed forces from remaining in conflict for more than 60 days without Congressional authorization (with a possible 30-day extension). If Congress does not authorize the use of military force within this timeframe, the President is required to withdraw the armed forces.
Just like how they left Afghanistan abandoning military equipment or ammo in Ukraine does not require congressional approval. So biden can send a force in for 60 days consisting only of trucks delivering ammunition and equipment, congress can deny the use of military force and the US can withdraw leaving all the weapons and ammo behind.
