Do you think the favouring of oppressed cohorts should continue temporarily or permanently?
My own view is that once historic oppression has been countered all people should be viewed on their own merit not on the basis of a minority trait such as race, gender, sexuality or religion. I think that was the concept of equality espoused by Martin Luther King.
Minority leaders now prefer to celebrate their differentiation and separateness. Its a different and recent concept.
