Distance doesn't stop Australians buying Volvo or Scania. Or Aussies buying John Deere, Case or New Holland.
Build a quality product and demand a premium price..............that more than covers any labour or transport costs. BMW, Audi, Mercedes Peugeot, VW all have thriving markets in Australia despite high production costs.....................because they build a premium product. It doesn't cost that much more to build a BMW than a Holden. The difference is that they build to a world wide market that understands quality and are prepared to pay the premium.
