„Would you lend money to this mob?“

Seems to be a matter of trust and SH's trust in the board should not be equated with that of other organizations. The DOE and the EU are not interested in Volt's performance in recent years. All they care about is whether you can deliver when the time comes. The dependence on the Chinese has become clear more than once in the last few months and even if the EU does its best to look like a big, slow bureaucratic elephant, they can no longer afford to see suppliers like ZG fall to their knees. The appointment as a strategic project made this clear. Volt is currently the best Option for the EU not only to carry out the long overdue R&D, but also to train new specialists with such projects, to involve the industry from the start and to counteract the Chinese, especially on a cost level.



Of course, this also applies to the next generation of batteries. Assuming that the North American technology partner in question is pursuing exactly the same goal, another strategic partnership does not seem to be ruled out. A further trust grant from the EU is just around the corner and there‘s enough of this honeypot available.






That large customer (end of March) and at least one of the two NGA customers will further support this trust which should ultimately also suggest to the DOE that they are dealing with a serious company here.

Will another CR be necessary by then?

Probably yes.

Will this further undermine SH's trust?

You can bet on that.


But none of this will matter to the EU, Volt's customers or the DOE as long as they get a high quality, cost-effective and much-needed product born out of self-inflicted dependency.
They are simply running out of time, they have recently understood that and they will give this little plant all the water it needs to survive and thrive…
