Thanks Smithy. Let me put it more bluntly:

If they have received takeover offers of any form, but chosen not to disclose this to the shareholders who own the business, whilst buying shares themselves, then watching the share price gradually sell off with no real ‘floor’ under it until they were forced to raise in a position of weakness…

…then they are a bunch of clowns.

Hence why I suspect it’s more likely that for whatever reason they have not received any offers, or have rebuffed any approaches/enquires at all. Which *could* have been a mis-step, as knowing there is a willing buyer at a certain price can help set a floor for the stock, which almost certainly would have resulted in a less dilutive raise than the one they just did.
