I've been looking at DGL's competition. Simon mentioned competitors were leaving the market. Mainfreight also mentions on their website competitors leaving the market in the dangerous goods logistics business, so it seems this may have been what Simon was referring to. I wonder what's going on here - maybe it's becoming more specialist as regulations increase? Fierce competition? But if that were the case, I do not understand why this area would have greater competition than in other areas of logistics. Perhaps it's the manufacturers consolidating their contractors in this area as has been mentioned, making it no longer feasible for some operators. I wonder which companies are exiting? Smaller operators? Larger operators with 'non-core' operations in dangerous goods?
