Anyone have any TA or a chart on this? Not over the TA/charting side of things, but from a rough look it might either pop up out of this range soon or head lower??
Anyhow, value proposition looks good here, 400,000 head of cattle x $1000 a head = $400 million roughly plus the land value of properties.. However, profit levels from beef cattle at current prices isn't too great. As per last half year report, cost of production was $2.29 per $/kg LW, and average sales price was $2.92.. Rough profit of $8.5 million off the 12.1 million kg of LW cattle sold for that half.. I'd dare say we are looking at similiar revenues for this next half.
The Wagyu line has good sales pricing, does anyone know if the cost of production for Beef Cattle includes the cost for producing the Wagyu lines, or is this a different cost of goods; I am unable to find a cost differential?
Overall an asset rich, cash flow poor company throughout most of the commodity cycle but definitely has the scale and capacity to generate solid cash flows when prices spike.
