While I generally agree with you, QT, the USG can remain irrational longer than Jervois can remain solvent.

Crocker & Co have been in talks with the USG for more than 5 years. Countless articles have been written, meetings attended & presentations given - yet nothing substantive has emerged from these efforts.

Is it solely on the USG or has Crocker failed in his endeavours due to his ideology/arrogance? Or a bit of both?

Crocker has admitted to spurning USG overtures due to his belief that public money shouldn't displace private money. The irony that he is now desperate for public money. Has he admitted his mistake to the USG? Are they aware that the clock is ticking? Do they care?

I'm holding on because the capital destruction is too deep to bother selling. And additionally because I want to believe the USG isn't stupid enough to be exposed militarily to refined Chinese cobalt ad infinitum. Pity the USG doesn't seem to share the same sense of urgency.

For now...

Let's hope that changes.
