I've not seen this price action for at least 12mths. It's inconceivable that the demand which is driving these prices falls away and prices fall as a consequence - no, we are seeing a pivot into restocking of higher quality product, however I don't expect this action to drive prices to previous heights. $1.5-$2k/t is where the 'western' cost curve is for sc6.
Chinese converters have had their fun and they need to focus on margins now.
