Extreme temperatures are an issue! I have operated greenhouses in extreme climates and the cooling (despite venting) and heating expenses were a lot higher on an annual basis compared with the occasional running of dehumidifiers.
Mean monthly relative humidity levels between Melbourne and Mildura in this case are negligible. See the monthly breakdown below.
