I'm sure 'the rich' wouldn't have much of a problem with a welfare system if they thought the money appreciated and well spent.
No one likes being forced to fund government incompetence and waste on a generally ungrateful bunch of whingers.
If you are receiving welfare be grateful for it because it's someone elses wages going into your pocket. Don't expect it, you have no God given right that someone else has to look after you. Think of welfare as a privilege, not a right and the country will be better off for it.
Nothing grates more than being told because you're successful in monetary terms you somehow owe society more, fact is they have done nothing that you couldn't do yourself, the only difference is they've done it. It's because of successful people you can even have a welfare system.
