The shorts will most likely keep the SP below 55c so the company doesn’t raise additional funds. This will put even more pressure on the balance sheet which will favour the shorts.
The DFC loan required more liquidity, hence the recent cap raise. The DFC loan is significantly smaller than the proposed DOE loan of ~USD350M. No wonder there hasn’t been any movement on that front. The DOE is probably wondering how SYR is going to pay back the loan if graphite doesn’t improve. I wonder how much more dilution is required to get that loan over the line.
