Should the ICSID find in AVZ’s favour and the DRC Fails to abide by the rulings, there could be a huge negative impact on UN and the World Bank funding to the DRC. It will be interesting to watch what is another test of the current world order. If the above does happen, unfortunately for the people of the Congo, the Chinese will promise to step up and invest in Infrastructure for the people and repeat their past performance of abject failure to deliver on promises, maybe they will invest 10% of what is promised for a massive return in mineral wealth to China.

As for humanitarian aid the Chinese will repeat past performance and spend nothing of any consequence.

Their money will be more likely spent on bribes, the DRC will likely be stripped of resources, child labour will be the norm and they will leave an environmental disaster behind them.

Personally I do not believe the chines model of capitalism is sustainable.

But what the hell, as long as some of the punters on here like Tolate get joy out of demonising the AVZ board and supporting the Chinese theft if Manon, then all good for them, I wish them restfull sleep.
