I certainly did not find the waiting exciting - only frustrating and expensive.

I am not certain that what you are saying is not "tongue in cheek ".

This is the problem in dealing with Peru and China, and there are many other reasons in a backward country that does not understand how business works.

Inca had to pay the workers who were sitting around waiting just like the shareholders were waiting.
The problem is all this wasted money could have been spent on drilling and exploration.
The Peruvian pollies would have seen an opportunity to bleed wages out of Inca by delaying the permits.

They think that western companies are full of money and this would not be a problem for them. We know otherwise.

As has been stated here, there was a permit required to apply for a permit at one stage.

Also, I wonder if the Chinese had anything to do with these delays as I would not trust them as partners or major shareholders as far as I could see them.
They had a lot to gain from Inca going belly-up so they could pick up our prospects cheaply.

A better idea would be to offer S32 the prospects for $1 on the proviso that they get going on the exploration quickly, and we get a share if anything is found of value and we can contribute beyond a certain point.

I am sure something could be worked out that is beneficial to both parties and that we do not have to contribute money at this point.

This would need to be with S32 or another company other than the Chinese.

Remember that all this happened around the time of covid 19 for which the Chinese were responsible.
It set a cat among the pigeons around the world, and contrary to many here on HC, it was not because they did not like the project.
S32 were in financial trouble at another project that they were trying to commission and had to drop every thing they possibly could to raise money for that.
That is the reason they dropped us and nothing other.

Management at Inca was so weak at the time that they could do nothing.
