You make a fair point, despite various state governments having already made compensation packages to owners and operators. Yet they never compensated the drivers and so I'd like to see Maurice Blackburn go after them also on drivers behalf.
The Uber action only covered a narrow time frame around 2015 whereas they were in breach of the law for a longer period before finally receiving formal authorisation to operate. Prior to that Uber had operated on a nod and a wink from state governments. At our expense.
