with wind and solar we will still need a back up base load
a week
of heavy rain and strong winds would see wind farms and solar reduce their output significantly
we are a long way from renewables being any where close to reliable
I find the nuclear debate interesting as the premise is that we don’t have a viable and reliable alternative to renewables
