Yes, understand that. Current day value of the Net Profit after tax is the number, not Net Present Value - That's a maths technique - Help Us Please - Then muliple that by 8 to get the Market Cap - What the business is worth after its been operating for 15 years not the NTA - which is different again. Cashflow, asset, profit, goodwill, expansion, think about it.
2nd point :
They are probably laughing because you didn't seem to understand what was represented - NPV of what - earnings, cashflow, EDITBA, EBIT - which number were you asking them, or were you really confused ??
