Possible. But that sort of intent is very unprofessional. From what little I know I doubt they would have scuppered like that.Yes - I think you see the situation correctly, as usual.
It looks to me as if the Board got together for a 'full and frank discussion' - certain outcomes would have been discussed and an 'optimal way forward' arrived at.
Further I would expect that some names are on a short list, and 'talkies underway'.
All good IMO for the present - news forthcoming, I'm sure. GLAH.
